The capture of a last cast chub weighing 2-11-0 gave John Fuidge a surprise victory.
John fished several methods and baits at different
distances off peg 8 and converted his only bite of the day into a match winner.
The runner-up was match organiser Steve Dumbleton who worked hard at neighbouring
peg 7 with whip and feeder to tempt 1-3-8 of bleak and dace.
Brian Lloyd finished third with 1-3-0 of dace taken from peg 9 with float-fished
maggot.
